Faith is just the start. Here’s the strategy.
A word for your anxious heart
While praying over this message, I sensed two simple, powerful truths for you:
- Don’t give up hope. Healing and unshakeable peace are possible.
- Don’t settle. God’s promise for you is freedom—not lifelong management.
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:16
“In Me you may have peace… take heart; I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.” — Isaiah 26:3
God sees you. He’s with you. And He cares about your peace even more than you do.
Why “just have more faith” isn’t the whole plan
Many believers hear, “Just pray more. Trust more.” Prayer and trust are essential—but if anxiety has been persistent (or clinical), there’s often a body component alongside the spiritual and mental pieces. In plain language: your brain chemistry needs healing too.
The good news? God is Jehovah Rapha—the God who heals—and He gladly gives wisdom for how to heal (James 1:5). That’s exactly why I use a body, mind, and spirit approach for healing when I’m working with my clients. It’s the same divine strategy that God provided to me that allowed me to heal completely from anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.
How God’s way is different (and better)
Here’s what I want you to know:
Peace doesn’t come from trying harder. You don’t have to strive or perform your way into it. It flows from being with Him—real, honest, just-you-and-Jesus kind of moments.
Truth is what rewires everything. When you start agreeing with what He says instead of what anxiety screams, things begin to shift. That’s Romans 12:2 actually working.
And yes—your body matters. Sleep. Light. Rhythms. What you eat. It’s not fluff. These are tools God can use to stabilize your brain so peace isn’t just a moment—it’s a lifestyle.
And hear me on this—there’s no shame in needing help. You need a strategy that actually works—and the Holy Spirit’s ready to walk it out with you.
